This week's On Target Radio is a special two-hour program. Hour one will be about the 15th Annual Clyde Howell NRA Youth Shooting Sports Camp being held at the Illinois State Rifle Association Range in Bonfield on May 31, June 1st and 2nd. In our studio will be Kelly McAdams, a past camper and camp intern who is now an adult volunteer running the intern program. Also in the studio will be Tim O'Meara and Kelly Kindelin who have been with the camp since it began 15 years ago.

The second hour will be dedicated to covering industry news including what's happening in the state capital with concealed carry and all things Second Amendment around the country. Be sure to join David & Tim as they foray into the hard news arena by tuning in to AM560 THE ANSWER radio if you're in the Northern Illinois area or by going to www.560wind.com and listening in live-stream on the Internet. Call in with questions to 312-642-5600 -OR- Friend ON TARGET RADIO on Facebook, ask a question there and we'll answer it on the show.

May 14, 2013 08:54 AM PDT

This week David and Tim's guests include U.S. Congressman Randy Hultgren IL, Bill Lee, who is challenging Senator Dick Durbin in the 2014 election, and attorney Ed Ronkowski discussing Congressional initiatives to ban firearms.

Jim Hagearty is the founder of the very successful Illinois Junior Precision Shooters - a junior athletic association dedicated to training and developing 10 to 20 year old precision pistol athletes. In the past eight-and-a-half year's team members have achieved 60 NRA Distinguished Expert Basic Pistol awards and 14 NRA Double Distinguished awards.

April 09, 2013 10:04 AM PDT

"Bullet Proof Vehicles" was to be the show, but our guest didn't make it. We still had a great discussion on general firearm related topics and learned a thing or two about other gun rights organizations from our listeners. All in all another great show!

April 02, 2013 03:44 PM PDT

Join David and Tim as they interview Attorney David Carlson and Paul McKinley, Republican candidate running for Jesse Jackson's vacated 2nd Congressional District seat. No stranger to controversy, McKinley is running on the slogan, "Ex-offender trying to prevent the next offender." It's unlikely that any candidate in recent history is more aware of gang violence and he has some strong opinions on what needs to be done. His campaign is less about running against his opponent and far more about running against the Chicago machine. Don't miss this very compelling On Target Radio show on Chicago gang violence.

March 19, 2013 08:20 AM PDT

"What's Happening With the Gun Stores?" - David and Tim interview Cliff Smith of Crocket Gunsmithing in Wilmington about the shortage of firearms, ammunition and what's happening with gun stores in general.
